If this newsletter doesn't look lovely, click here for an online version.

Welcome to our late-summer newsletter. We've got a couple of NEW Wild Days and exciting news of a world leader in bushcraft coming to Frontiers...

1. NEW Wild Days added
child in woodsWe recently sent out details of our Wild Days, promising that we wouldn't add any more this summer. Well, we er... changed our minds :) Jon, our director, enjoyed running one so much that he practically begged to do another.

So we're running two extra: Wild in the Woods and Mini Go Wild Day on 26/27 August. See details here

ALL profits go to New Horizons, our alternative curriculum for disadvantaged teenagers.

2. Mors Kochanski, world bushcraft expert comes to Frontiers

Mors KochanskiWe're delighted to announce that Mors Kochanski, one of the world's leading bushcraft instructors, will be coming to Frontiers to offer a three-day training in Bushcraft and Survival Skills.

This is a rare opportunity to learn bushcraft from a world master, in a small group of only 12 people. We will be camping in a beautiful, secluded spot by the Thames on the privately owned Hardwick Estate.

The training runs from 22-24 August 08 and costs £200. So forget about daily cares for a weekend, enjoy being in nature and learn about bushcraft from a renowned expert. See more details here.

3. Frontiers becomes a charity
We're very pleased to announce that Frontiers has become a charity. This will help us to attract funds to improve the services we offer. We'll soon be setting up pages on our website for individuals & organisations to donate, in particular to our alternative curriculum, New Horizons.
4. Bulgaria expedition 2008
Students recently returned from our 2008 Bulgaria expedition. They helped set up a base for orphans, building a kitchen, outdoor toilets and showers for them to use. Following difficulties accessing the orphanage, students focussed instead on learning about the lifestyles of the local villagers, and building links with the local community. Students have now returned to the UK.

5. Recruiting volunteers

We are recruiting volunteers / interns to work with disadvantaged teenagers on our alternative curriculum, New Horizons.

We have places available at both centres, in Oxford and Pangbourne, full-time and part-time, starting in the new academic year. It's excellent experience for anyone wanting to get into youth work or teaching.

If you are interested, please get in touch.
