Directions
We are based in a converted farmhouse, Path Hill Farm, Pangbourne, nr Reading, easily accessible from Oxford or Reading, just off the A4074.
We also run activities in the surrounding area, including the King Charles Head pub in Goring Heath, and Hill End Outdoor Centre in Oxford. When you book an activity, we will let you know which location to come to.

Path Hill Farm, Pangbourne RG8 7RE - our base
From Reading, 20-25 minutes:
Cross Caversham Bridge and turn left onto A4074 towards Oxford. Pass Pack horse, Packsaddle and Fox pubs. After ½ mile take left turn, signed Goring B4526. After ½ mile, where the road bends sharply to the right, turn off left (almost straight). Go straight over crossroads, signed Path Hill. Road dips down and up. Where road goes 90 degree right, go straight. Follow lane until you reach the farm buildings. Park to the right.
From Oxford, 30-35 minutes
From the southern ring road, take A4074 to Reading. Continue 10 miles, past Wallingford roundabouts, past sign to Goring B4009, & through North Stoke. Ascend long hill. At top, pass 1st and 2nd Woodcote turns on right. Pass sign for the Oratory School. After ½ mile take next right, signed Goring B4526. After ½ mile, where the road bends sharply to the right, turn off left (almost straight). Go straight over crossroads, signed Path Hill. Road dips down and up. Where road goes 90 degree right, go straight. Follow lane until you reach the farm buildings. Park to the right.
From Henley-on-Thames, 20-25 minutesFrom central Henley head NW on A4130 Wallingford/Oxford. Up long hill. Just before Nettlebed, at mini-roundabout, turn left onto B481 Stoke Row/ Highmoor/ Reading. After 1 mile turn right towards Highmoor/Stoke Row/Maharajah’s Well. Continue through Stoke Row. After petrol station, turn left to Checkendon. Continue through Checkendon until you reach A4074. Turn Left. Pass sign for Oratory School. After ½ mile take next right, signed Goring B4526, 5 miles. After ½ mile, where the road bends sharply to the right, turn off left (almost straight). Go straight over crossroads, signed Path Hill. Road dips down and up. Where road goes 90 degree right, go straight. Follow lane until you reach the farm buildings. Park to the right.
From Pangbourne, 10 minutesFrom mini-roundabout in Pangbourne centre by Somerfields, take B471 to Whitchurch. Go over bridge & pay 20p toll. Continue through village, then where road narrows at the bottom of the hill, turn right onto Hardwick Rd. Past Alpaca Farm. Continue up hill to top. At 90 degree left bend with chevrons, turn right, signed to Path Hill Farm. Follow lane until you reach the farm buildings. Park to the right.
King Charles Head Pub, Goring Heath RG8 7RL
Please note: This pub is now closed, and is boarded up, although the pub sign is still hanging. The car park is blocked up, but there is room to pull over next to the back entrance to the car park. Please be careful of traffic when leaving or collecting children from this venue.
From Reading, 20-25 minutes
Cross Caversham Bridge and turn left onto A4074 towards Oxford. Continue into Mapledurham. Take the left turn opposite the Packhorse pub on the right. After about 2 miles see sign for King Charles Head car park on the right. Please park off the road on the right just before the entrance to the pub car park (the car park itself is closed).
From Oxford, 35 minutes

From Pangbourne, 10 minutes
From mini-roundabout in Pangbourne centre by Somerfields, take B471 to Whitchurch. Go over bridge & pay 20p toll. Continue through village, then where road narrows at the bottom of the hill, turn right onto Hardwick Rd.Past Alpaca Farm. Continue up hill to top. Gatehampton Farm, Goring on Thames RG8 9LU
From Reading, 30 minutes
Cross Caversham Bridge (over Thames) and take left turn (NW) onto A4074 towards Oxford/Wallingford/Woodcote. Past Pack horse, Packsaddle and Fox pubs. After ½ mile take next left turn signed to Goring B4526. After 1 mile, at crossroads turn right continuing on B4526 towards Goring. Stay on this road for several miles, at bottom of very steep hill is a T junction, Turn left past train station and onto Gatehampton Road. After ½ mile take right turn to Gatehampton Farm/Nursery. We will be watching out for you.
From Oxford, 30/35 minutes
From the southern ring road, take A4074 to Reading. Continue 10 miles, past Wallingford roundabouts. 1 mile past Wallingford take right turn B4009 Goring, continue to Goring. Pass train station and onto Gatehampton Road. After ½ mile take right turn to Gatehampton Farm/Nursery.
From Pangbourne, 15 minutes
From the mini roundabout in the centre of Pangbourne by Somerfields/George pub, take B471 Whitchurch, Woodcote Under railway bridge. Go over bridge & pay 10p Toll and through village. Carry on B471 until you meet B4526 at Crays Pond. Turn Left, Stay on this road for several miles, at bottom of very steep hill is a T junction, turn left past train station and onto Gatehampton Road. After ½ mile take right turn to Gatehampton Farm/Nursery. We will be watching out for you.
From Henley-on-Thames, 30 minutes
From central Henley head NW on A4130 Nettlebed/Wallingford/Oxford, follow all the way to Wallingford at roundabout turn left onto A4074 towards Reading. Go across next roundabout and look for right filter/turn B4009 Goring. Follow this road to Goring. Go past train station and onto Gatehampton Road. After ½ mile take right turn to Gatehampton Farm/Nursery. We will be watching out for you.
Hill End Outdoor Centre, Oxford OX2 9NJ
From Cheltenham and Witney (A40)
Follow the A40 towards Oxford. At the Eynsham roundabout take road for Stanton Harcourt (B4449). At the third roundabout take the first left to Oxford (B4044). Pass over the toll bridge and through Farmoor towards Oxford. Hill End is half a mile down on the left and is clearly signposted.
From Oxford ring road (A34)
Take the exit for Swindon, Bristol and West (A420). After about half a mile take the exit for Eynsham (B4044). Turn right under the flyover. Hill End is the second drive on the right and is clearly signposted.
From Oxford City Centre and railway station
Take the road under the station bridge and along Botley Road. Continue until you pass under the ring road flyover. Pass the shops and take the right turn at the foot of Cumnor Hill along Eynsham Road (B4044). Pass under the next flyover. Hill End is the second drive on the right and is clearly signposted.
From Swindon/Faringdon/South West (A420)
Follow the A420 towards Oxford. Take the left turn for Cumnor (B4017) and go through the village towards Farmoor (B4017). This will take you down the hill and past the reservoir. At the junction (small roundabout) turn right towards Oxford (B4044). Hill End is half a mile down on the left and is clearly signposted.
