Frontiers Enablement Model
The Frontiers Enablement Model is a complete approach to teaching that develops all aspects of a student's character, rather than just focussing on the academic.
2. Applying Maslow
However, in contrast to Maslow's strict heirarchical model, we developed a more holistic approach which puts 'maturity' at the centre, with the other needs: family, self-reliance, visualisation, identity, esteem and perspective around the outside. Teachers can use our model to discover out which needs are not being met in disengaged young people and then address those needs, so opening up opportunities for development at higher levels. We'll go through each aspect of the model in turn and show you how it apply it in the classroom. |
We developed the Enablement Model by applying the principles of Maslow, which state that lower needs must be met before higher needs can be fulfilled.
