In an age of video games, urbanisation and rising obesity, we bring back the spirit of adventure. We teach children to take risks in a safe environment, taking them out in to the woods to get mucky, to learn and to have lots of fun!

About our Wild Days:

Wild Days are fun, exciting days out for children in our beautiful beech woods - often for less than the cost of child care! We run half day, full day & overnight camps, tailor-made for specific age groups, all year round.

There are lots of creative activities, such as: Survival Skills - Wild Crafts - Magical Quests - Fantastic Games - Exploring Nature - Watching Wildlife - Silent Stalking - Making fire - Campfire Songs and much more...

Tuesday 6th April
Spring Survival

Location: Gutteridge's Wood layby
Time: 10:30am - 4pm
Ages: 7 - 11
Cost: £29

Spring is in the air, so let's head off into the woods and learn how to build a debris shelter and a fire to keep us warm. There’re plenty of great places to hide from humans and lots of great games to play.  Wear your camouflage clothes and blend into the woods on this fun filled day.

Wednesday 7th April
Fire and Knife

Location: Path Hill Farm
Time: 10:30am - 4pm
Age: 8 - 12
Cost : £29

Come and learn the essentials of making a fire and using a knife.  Collect tinder bundles, try the one match challenge and learn to use a fire steel to make different fires.  After lunch learn techniques to use a knife safely to strip bark and make feather sticks.

Monday 12th April 
Avatar

Location: Gutteridge's Wood layby
Time: 10:30am - 4pm
Age: 7 - 12
Cost : £29

Experience the beauty of the woods as an Avatar. Learn the secrets of the plants, animals and insects and how to live in harmony with nature. Build up your strength and skills to run faster, climb higher and hunt. Design your forest home and light your own bonfire. Defend your land against those who would try to destroy it.

Tuesday 13th April
Jungle Assault

Location: Gutteridge's Wood layby
Time: 10:30am - 4pm
Age: 6 - 9
Cost : £29

Join us for a day of tree climbing, obstacle courses and woodland acrobatics. Feeling brave? Then see if you can complete our fiendishly hard forest challenges. Go wild and play in the woods.

N.B. You will be making your own fire at lunch time and you can bring food to cook on it

Wednesday 14th April
Special Forces

Location: Path Hill Farm
Time: 10:30am - 4pm
Age: 8 - 12
Cost : £29

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to engage in a stealth attack on a position deep within enemy territory. You will be required to complete mission objectives such as scouting, ambushing and hostage recovery. Think you've got what it takes to join our elite special forces team?
NB Full camouflage essential!

Thursday 15th April
Mud Spirit Quest

Location: Path Hill Farm
Time: 10:30am - 4pm
Age: 6 - 9
Cost : £29

Gloop.... gloop... there's something coming out of the mud.  It's small and has wings but it's definitely not a fairy.

The mud spirits are here and they have filled the forest with traps, adventures and puzzles. Beat them at their own game to make the woods safe for others.

If you don't mind getting dirty then this is the day for you – waterproofs and old clothes essential.

  2. Complete an online Booking Form (or print form & post with cheque)
  3. Complete an online Medical Form for each child attending
  4. View directions if necessary

Cancellations: If a booking is cancelled more than 2 working days before an event, you will receive a cash refund. If you cancel within 2 working days of the event, you will receive a credit for a future event instead.
